Panther Pride Football Strength & Conditioning Program

The Panther Pride Football Strength & Conditioning Program’s goal is to develop the total student-athlete to their greatest God-given potential. Our training methodology identifies, integrates, and sequences many factors that need to be targeted in developing a dynamic athlete into an annual plan. The goal is to assist the athlete in becoming his best by improving his technique, strength, explosive power, speed, agility, and overall level of conditioning while creating an injury-resistant body. Using periodization, we break each of these components into specific movements that target our overall areas of emphasis. Therefore, increasing our athlete’s ability to be successful each testing period.

During an athlete’s years at Seattle Prep., they learn the importance of increasing their athletic ability through a sound, strength & conditioning program. Our program is structured year round. However, we greatly encourage our athletes to participate in multiple sports. For those who do not participate in a Winter or Spring sport, it is expected they participate in our off season strength program. We lift three days a week in the winter & spring, and four days a week throughout the summer. 

Lastly, and perhaps most important, our strength program is an extension of the Panther Pride philosophy of “More Than Winning.” We view our program as more than a football, strength & conditioning program. It provides an opportunity to develop character through commitment, work ethic, and a winning attitude. Our athletes develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually through their experience, equipping them with the tools necessary to succeed in whatever endeavors they choose in life.
